IREM Northern Ohio Chapter Sponsors Cage at Cleveland APL for 2026–2027 Year

Local real estate management professionals support animals waiting for their forever homes

CLEVELAND, Ohio – October 26, 2026 – The Northern Ohio Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has made a donation to the Cleveland Animal Protective League (Cleveland APL) to sponsor a kennel for the 2026–2027 year. The sponsorship helps provide care, food, shelter and medical attention for the animals that live at the facility while they wait to be adopted.

The sponsored kennel will carry a plaque recognizing the IREM Northern Ohio Chapter. It will be home to a series of dogs and cats throughout the year as each animal finds a new family. For some, their kennel at the APL, complete with a warm bed, toys, plenty of food and water, and lots of TLC, is the only “home” they have ever known.  For others, it’s a temporary home until they find the love of another family.  For all of them, it’s the reason they’re getting a second chance.

"Our members spend every day helping property owners maintain their office buildings, apartment buildings and shopping centers. Supporting the Cleveland APL lets us do the same for their facility and the animals in our community," said chapter President Robert Murray, CPM, ARM, IREM Northern Ohio Chapter.

The donation is part of the chapter’s commitment to giving back to the Northern Ohio communities where its members live and work.
