Avoiding Plumbing Pitfalls on Your Property
The non-invasive 3 step process to rehabilitate aging pipes

The spectacular visual updates of buildings and architecture is a highly rewarding part of renovation. We love the “wow” factor from pleasing aesthetics that capture our attention. The same goes for poor looking buildings. It’s so easy to see when the paint is outdated and needs freshened up, or when the interior furnishings are long past their prime appeal. This leads us to take care of those visual things first, because it is not as intriguing to care for the unseen parts of a building. Most often in that category is an aging drainage system. This all changes when it fails and the toilet starts overflowing. Yikes! The fact of the matter is it needs to be dealt with and the traditional way to solve the problem causes its own headaches - tearing out walls, busting up concrete and having to have multiple types of trades for a single job.

At Specialized Pipe Technologies we believe no one should have to needlessly tear out walls or bust up concrete, a dreaded side effect of traditional invasive pipe repairs. Effective solutions to repair or prevent plumbing issues save not only money, but stress. Stress that can be greatly avoided with a few extra steps of prevention.

Let’s see what this 3-step solution is:

 1.      Camera Inspection - A diagnostic camera inspection is the best place to start a plumbing system evaluation. It gives you a close up view of your property's drain lines and infrastructure from the inside. This will reveal any signs of root intrusion, cracks, leaks or blockages. When a problem area is discovered, then an action plan can be prepare

2.      Cleaning and Prep for CIPP Lining - If the inspection reveals a pipe that needs to be rehabilitated using CIPP lining, the pipe will need to be cleaned in preparation. Cleaning will remove any build up in the pipe, remove any debris blocking the pipe hindering a lining repair application

           3.      Pipe Rehabilitation - Non-invasive pipe repair, also known as cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining, is a modern and cost-effective alternative to traditional repair methods of the past. That’s why more people have skipped past this type of pipe repair and are choosing instead to fix their sewer pipe problems without even having to tear out walls or add any new pipes. That’s what we all want, no damage to our buildings! The CIPP Liner is typically installed through existing cleanouts, down stacks from a roof, or a removed toilet. Another benefit with this type of system, is the whole pipe does not have to be rehabilitated. A small liner can be installed to the exact location where the repair is needed, keeping material costs down, and the size of the project only as big as the repairs demand.

Neglecting an aged plumbing system can wreak havoc on your building infrastructure, costing time, money, and a disruption to daily life. You can avoid these headaches with this proven 3 step process. The choice is yours. What will you choose?
